Activities

Since its founding in 1978, Projekt-Consult GmbH has gained diverse experience particularly in the areas of energy and resource management, mining and environmental protection, the promotion of small-scale businesses and organizational development.

In 2006, Projekt-Consult GmbH has 15 employees and operates with a turnover of about 2,5million Euro (EUR) per year. The head of the company is the political economist (Dipl.-Volkswirt) Bernd Benthin.

Whereas during the first few years of existence the company focused on short-range activities (conceptual analyses, feasibility studies, evaluations), more recently, emphasis has shifted towards the execution of mid-range and long-term projects.

Through its years of experience in developing innovative approaches such as strategic participation in the promotion of small-scale businesses and organizational development, Projekt-Consult GmbH has been able to establish a broad basis of mutual trust with its donor agencies and partners. This becomes obvious by the nature and content of the contract work, the numerous and diverse donors, and the extent of project activities, as presented in the chart on the reverse side of this page.

Projekt-Consult GmbH works together with international partner companies, technical personnel, and organizations and agencies. It is a member of the Mini Hydro Power Group (MHPG, an informal association of European small-scale hydro-power agencies), as well as of the SKAT-Association, the Swiss Technology Management Development Aid (Fachstelle der Schweizerischen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit für Technologie-Management, St. Gallen).

In order to achieve sustainable project success, local technicians and trained workers have been extensively involved in the execution of projects. Doing so, we cooperate in various ways with partner organizations:

  • sole responsibility for project execution,
  • leadership in consortiums,
  • participation in joint ventures,
  • agreements with local partner organizations,
  • subcontracting of specialists.

This long-standing practice has provided Projekt-Consult GmbH with an extensive pool of available expertise.

The project parameters and approaches developed by Projekt-Consult GmbH, our successful performance in applying independent concepts, and our many years of experience in cooperation with partner organizations are reflected in the value of our current project contracts and the increase in business volume which we have attained over the last several years:
